What Svāda collects
Svāda is a personal nutrition tracker. To provide the service, we store the data you give us: your account email, profile details (display name, and optionally age, height, weight, sex, and activity level), the meals you log (including photos and descriptions), and your water, weight, and fasting logs. If you enable Apple Health sync on iOS, the water and weight data you choose to share is synced two-way with Apple Health; it is never read without your permission.
How your data is processed
Your data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage). When you analyze a meal, the photo and/or text you submit is sent to Google Gemini and, as a fallback, Anthropic Claude to estimate its nutrition. Only the meal content and the minimal context needed for accurate analysis (such as your biometrics and daily totals) are sent to these AI providers.
What we don't do
Svāda shows no ads, sells no data, and shares your personal data with no one beyond the processors listed above. Your data is private to your account; meal sharing with another user happens only when both of you explicitly connect via an invite code.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account; this immediately and permanently deletes your account, profile, meals, photos, and all logs. Anonymised operational logs (errors, usage counters) are retained for up to 180 days and then automatically purged.
Your rights and contact
You can view and edit your data in the app and delete your account in-app without asking anyone. For any privacy question or request, contact sushanta.meher@gmail.com.
